Overview of processing operations
This website is a purely informational presence with an enquiry form. We process only the data that is technically necessary to deliver the page, and the data you provide to us yourself in an enquiry. There are no user accounts, no newsletter and no online conclusion of contracts.
Types of data processed:
- Log data (IP address, time of access, address accessed, browser and system details).
- Contact data (name, e-mail address, telephone number).
- Content data (your answers in the enquiry form and your message to us).
Categories of data subjects:
- Visitors to this website.
- Prospective clients and communication partners.
Purposes of processing:
- Provision and stability of the website.
- Defence against attacks and assurance of operation.
- Handling your enquiry and preparing for the conversation.
Relevant legal bases
Below you will find an overview of the legal bases on which we process personal data. In addition to the provisions of the GDPR, national data protection requirements may apply in your or our country of residence or establishment.
- Consent (Article 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. a GDPR): You have given your consent to the processing for a specific purpose. We rely on this for the processing of the details you provide in the enquiry form.
- Performance of a contract and pre-contractual enquiries (Article 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. b GDPR): Processing is necessary for the performance of a contract or in order to take steps at your request prior to entering into a contract.
- Legitimate interests (Article 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. f GDPR): Processing is necessary for the purposes of our legitimate interests, provided that your interests and fundamental rights do not override them. We rely on this for the technical operation and security of the website.
No cookies, no tracking
This website sets no cookies. Nor does it store or read any other information on your device, neither through the browser's local storage nor through comparable techniques. We therefore require no consent for cookies and show you no cookie banner.
We use no advertising networks, no profiling and no services that recognise visitors across different websites. No automated decision-making takes place. To measure how often our pages are viewed we use Matomo on our own server; details follow in the next section.
All components of the page, that is fonts, images, style sheets and scripts, are hosted on our own server. No connection to third-party servers is established when you visit this website. No maps, videos, social network buttons or other external content are embedded.
Audience measurement with Matomo on our own server
We would like to know how often our pages are viewed and which content is of interest. For this we use Matomo, an audience measurement application that we run ourselves on the same server as this website. It is not an external service. The data collected never leaves our server, there is no provider in the background and no transfer to third parties.
The following is processed:
- the address you visited and the time of the visit,
- the page you came from, where your browser provides it,
- browser, operating system and approximate screen size,
- your shortened IP address.
Our Matomo installation works without cookies. Nothing is stored on your device and you are not recognised on a later visit. Your IP address is shortened before it is stored, so that it cannot be traced back to you. If you have enabled the “Do Not Track” setting in your browser, we do not count your visit.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in presenting our offering in a way that meets demand, under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. As no information is stored on or read from your device, no consent under section 25 TTDSG is required.
Data collected in this way is erased after twelve months at the latest.
Security measures
In accordance with the legal requirements and taking into account the state of the art, we take appropriate technical and organisational measures to ensure a level of protection appropriate to the risk. These include the exclusively encrypted transmission of all content and form entries via HTTPS, restriction of access to the data to those who need it, and procedures for erasing data and for handling the exercise of your rights. We take the protection of personal data into account as early as the selection of technology and procedures.
Provision of the website and server log files
When you access this website, your browser transmits technically necessary data to our server. Without this data the page cannot be delivered to your device. The server records the access in so-called log files. These may contain the address of the page or file accessed, the date and time of access, the volume of data transferred, notification of successful access, browser type and version, operating system, the previously visited page as well as your IP address and your access provider.
We use this data exclusively for technical operation, for troubleshooting and for security, for example to detect and prevent server overload or abusive access. The data is not combined with other data and is not evaluated in relation to you personally.
- Types of data processed: Log data.
- Data subjects: Visitors to this website.
- Purposes: Provision of the website, stability, security.
- Legal basis: Legitimate interests (Article 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. f GDPR).
- Erasure: Log files are erased or truncated after 30 days at the latest.
Enquiry form and getting in touch
On this website you can reach us through a multi-step enquiry form. All details are provided voluntarily. Transmission takes place only when you finally submit the form. Until then your entries remain in your browser and are not transmitted to us. Intermediate states are not stored.
In the enquiry form we collect:
- How you came to us and, if you were approached or referred, the name of that person.
- What investment experience you bring.
- What matters most to you in an investment.
- What order of magnitude you have in mind.
- When you would like to start.
- Your name, e-mail address and telephone number as well as when you can best be reached.
- Your voluntary message to us.
These details serve solely to handle your enquiry and to prepare for the personal conversation. The name of a person who approached or referred you serves to assign your enquiry to the right contact. We do not use your details for advertising, do not pass them on for advertising purposes and do not sell them.
If you contact us directly by e-mail or telephone instead, we process the data arising in that context for the same purpose.
Protection against automated bulk submissions: To prevent the form being misused for unsolicited advertising, we limit the number of enquiries per sender and detect duplicate submissions. For this purpose the server stores, for no longer than one hour, a check value calculated from your IP address as well as a check value of the content. Neither your IP address nor your details can be recovered from these values. The address itself is not stored. We also use a DNS query to check whether the domain of your e-mail address is able to receive messages at all. We use no captcha and no third-party services for this. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a functioning contact channel (Article 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. f GDPR).
- Types of data processed: Contact data, content data.
- Data subjects: Prospective clients and communication partners.
- Purposes: Handling the enquiry, preparing for the conversation, communication.
- Legal bases: Consent (Article 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. a GDPR) as well as performance of a contract and pre-contractual enquiries (Article 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. b GDPR).
Download of the broker company profile
You can download the company profile of our broker partner without providing any data. It is a file on our own server. You do not have to register, and we do not record who downloads the file. Only the server log file recording described above applies.
Recipients of your data
We pass on personal data only where this is necessary for the purposes stated or where we are legally obliged to do so. With service providers that process data on our behalf, we conclude the data processing agreements required by law.
Technical operation of the website and e-mail service:
Mittwald CM Service GmbH & Co. KG, Königsberger Strasse 4 to 6, 32339 Espelkamp, Germany. The host operates the servers on which this website is located and in doing so processes the log data as well as the messages arriving by form or e-mail. The servers are located in Germany.
Data transfer to the United Arab Emirates
The controller is established in the United Arab Emirates, that is in a country outside the European Union and the European Economic Area. When we handle your enquiry, the data it contains is transferred there.
There is no adequacy decision of the European Commission for the United Arab Emirates. The level of data protection there may differ from that of the GDPR, and enforcing your rights may be more difficult than within the European Union. We therefore transfer the details from your enquiry form on the basis of your explicit consent pursuant to Article 49 (1) lit. a GDPR, which you give when submitting the form, and we limit the transfer to what is necessary to handle your enquiry. You may withdraw this consent at any time.
Retention and erasure
We erase personal data as soon as the purpose of the processing ceases to apply and no statutory retention obligation stands in the way.
- Server log files: Erasure or truncation after 30 days at the latest.
- Enquiries that do not lead to a membership: Erasure as soon as the enquiry has been conclusively answered, after twelve months at the latest.
- Enquiries that lead to a membership: Retention for the duration of the business relationship and beyond, insofar as statutory retention periods require this.
Your rights
As a data subject, you have in particular the following rights under the GDPR:
- Right to object: You have the right to object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to the processing of data concerning you which is carried out on the basis of legitimate interests.
- Right to withdraw consent: You have the right to withdraw consent given at any time. The lawfulness of the processing carried out up to the withdrawal remains unaffected.
- Right of access: You have the right to request confirmation as to whether we process data relating to you, and to obtain information about that data as well as a copy of it.
- Right to rectification: You have the right to have inaccurate data corrected and incomplete data completed.
- Right to erasure and restriction of processing: You have the right to request the erasure of data concerning you without undue delay or, as an alternative, a restriction of the processing.
- Right to data portability: You have the right to receive the data you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format, or to request its transmission to another controller.
- Complaint to a supervisory authority: You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of your habitual residence, your place of work or the place of the alleged infringement.
A message to info@das-bessere-investment.com is sufficient to exercise your rights.

We will adapt this privacy policy if the processing changes, for example because we introduce new functions or services. The version published here applies in each case.
